Summer is arriving in the Northern Hemisphere, wihch means lovely hot weather! As much as we love the heat, our skin can become dry and damaged from UV rays. Here are some must-haves to stay healthy as it heats up!

- Lip Balm. It's important that your lips stay moisturized. Use a protective lip balm regularly when outside to prevent them from drying out. 

- Eye cream. The skin around our eyes is much more fragile and needs protecting. Apply eyecream in the evening if you have been sitting out in the sun during the day.

- Sunblock. Make sure to apply regularly especially after swimming, and make sure you have a cream with a high enough SPF.

-Cool showers. Having a hot shower after being exposed to the sun further dries out the skin, so make sure you take a nice cool shower to soothe the burns.

- Aloe Vera. Use this to soothe and moisturize burned skin. Vaseline sells a good aloe vera moisturizer that is low cost.

- Stay Hydrated. Drinking plenty of fluids such as water and juices helps to heal burned skin much faster. Replenishing your body with fluids is what you really need after losing so much from sunburns. 

- Don't be stupid. Many of us want a golden brown tan. This takes time, especially for fair-skinned people. Be patient and build gradually. Don't put yourself in danger of skin cancer.
