It’s three days into the Sundance Film Festival and already reporters are asking Elizabeth Olsen how it feels to be the festival’s it girl. Olsen’s response: “If I am an it girl, the great thing about that is that it can help these two films.” The young actress is talking about Silent House and Martha Marcy May Marlene — two films premiering at this year’s festival. Of course, the press has also trekked into family territory, digging into her relationship with her famous sisters (Mary Kate and Ashley) and without extensive media experience some might falter, but not Olsen. “As for my family, I love them and I love talking about them. But I don’t feel that shadow thing that the media assumes. It’s made up by people I don’t come into contact with.” This line of questioning will fade as Olsen, who’s still a senior at NYU, proves she’s worthy of the Miss Sundance title thanks to her intelligent performances — not her last name.

We sat down with Olsen, who was wearing Kenneth Cole’s official Sundance vest (the designer outfits the festival’s 1600 volunteers), at the Stella Artois Cutting Room on Main Street to discuss the road to Sundance, her sense of fashion, and where she’ll go next.

A-lister Anne Hathaway will be starring in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises playing the sultry vixen Selina Kyle/ Catwoman. The actress beat out Jessica Biel and Keira Knightley. Looking back, he role of Catwoman has been played by Michelle Pfeiffer in 1991′s ‘Batman Returns‘ followed by Halle Berry. Hathaway’s co-stars Christian Bale returns to play the heroic role of Bruce Wayne/ Batman and Tom Hardy will be playing the chemically corrupted villain Bane. Nolan’s game plan is to bring back the historical characters that we have seen through out the Batman series. He states at a Warner Bros. press release conference, said: “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Anne Hathaway, who will be a fantastic edition to our ensembles as we complete our story.” What are your opinions on Anne Hathaway’s new role starring the savage Catwoman?

The sensational musical “Wicked” is moving off Broadway and onto ABC as an eight hour mini-series. Salma Hayek, who produced of Ugly Betty, now has a new project in the pipeline: producing Wicked, the TV series. However, there’s no word yet for who will be cast as Elphaba and Glinda. Die-hard Wicked fans can rejoice because apparently the script will not be taken directly from the musical, rather it will be based off the original book written by Gregory Maguire. Who do you think should be cast as Elphaba and Glinda?

January Jones of Mad Men, graced the 2011 Golden Globes red carpet with an old Hollywood nostalgia. Red lipstick creates a chic seductive look, but it isn’t always easy to find the right shade for your complexion. Keep reading to get perfect fiery fifties lips for your skin color.

    1. What skin tone do you have? The veins on the inside of your wrists are great indicators of what skint tone you have. If the veins are blue or purple, than you’re a cool girl. If the veins are yellow or green than you’re a warm chic.

    2. For the cool shade girls: Is your skin complexion fair or medium? Girls with cool fair skin, look best with red lipstick that has a blue base. Girls with cool medium skin look best with red lipstick that has both a blue or warm red base.

    3. For the warm-shade girls: Is your skin complexion olive or dark? Girls with warm olive complexions look best with red or red orange based lipstick. Girls with warm darker complexions look best with brown based red lipstick.

    4. Time to fire things up. Now that you know your skin tone and complexion, its time to try on some lipstick! Remember to prep your lips with a lip balm. Apply a lip liner in the same shade of your lipstick or darker. Apply your shade of red lipstick, nude eye shadow, a side part in your hair and walk around talking with some great ’50s phrases.  Daddy-o!

To make a round face appear slimmer, or rock a red carpet look in a snap, highlight your cheekbones with these easy steps! Use a cream blush on the apples of your cheeks, and blend the color upwards along your natural cheekbones toward the outer edges of your face. Use a liquid or stick highlighter to line the area just underneath your cheekbones (the part of your cheek that sinks in when you make a kissing face). Blend the highlighter upwards into the blush, never going higher than the apples of your cheeks. Finish the look by reducing signs of color-creasing with a dust of translucent powder.
