Hey dollies!

This week I was given an incredible opportunity to interview my country’s official doll, who happened to be the one and only, CALLIE!

Our interview ranged from wisdom-filled advice to getting a glimpse of her awesome background here on Stardoll! I am SO excited to share this with you all, so without further ado here it is!

How did you first come across Stardoll.com, and did you ever expect to become the OFFICIAL doll for the United States?

Callie - I’ve been involved with Stardoll for a long while, since before I officially opened my account in 2006. I didn’t quite expect to become the official doll for the US in the beginning, but I actually decided to take on that role with the support of my fellow staff members here at the Stardoll HQ.

What is your most favorite memory you’ve had here on Stardoll?

Callie - Tough one! I suppose I’ll never forget the release of the first ever issue of my own store, Callie’s Picks. It had been a pet project for a while, so it was super exciting to finally get it out there.

What is one quote or piece of advice that keeps you motivated whenever you’re feeling discouraged?

Callie - I love this quote from Diana Vreeland: "The only real elegance is in the mind; if you’ve got that, the rest really comes from it.” Attitude is key, and knowing this allows you to never feel discouraged in the first place!

Many of the girls and guys, myself included, have experienced/most likely will experience negative comments from others at some point in time. How do you deal with them and how should the person who’s being bullied deal with them?

Callie - It’s as simple as not letting the negative comments affect you, but I suppose that this becomes easier with age and maturity. Another quote I live by is Donna Karan’s "Delete the negative; accentuate the positive!” Focus on the kind and encouraging comments you receive, they’re much better anyway!

In my experience bullies just want attention, so ignoring them is a great way to thwart this behavior. If you have a hard time ignoring it or you can’t help but be affected by the negative comments, the best way is to deal with this is to get in touch with someone who can help you. If you are being bullied in Stardoll, you should always block that user and report them to our staff!

And last but not least, If you had the chance to visit ANY place in the world, where would you go, and why?

Callie - Another toughie... I think the answer to this changes on a daily basis! Right now, I’d say Tokyo. I’ve been itching to see some Harajuku district styles with my own eyes!

 

Composing this interview with Callie will most likely be a Stardoll memory I’ll NEVER forget!
