2016 is proving to be a big year in fashion already and we're only in April! I thought I'd give you a quick rundown of what's hot and what's not at the moment. 

What's hot:

At the moment, see-through items are proving to be the biggest trend of the year. I am frequently seeing black dresses with a see-through piece layering at the top, and honestly I love it! I was especially happy to see it featured in Subcouture as it truly is a great look that I'm sure many of you also love. 

Another thing that is definitely hot right now is long coats/wraps. We are starting to see them on the catwalk a lot and they can be worn casually and not casually. It's a win both ways! 

Finally, camo colours are the 'it' thing at the moment! When I say camo, I mean greys, greens, blacks, whites and creams. 

What's not:

Sadly, vibrant patterns and colours don't seem to be big right now which saddens me but hopefully they will be soon. 

Skinny jeans are being replaced by boyfriend jeans in many retailers. Although I love skinny jeans, perhaps boyfriend jeans are the new thing?
