Thrift shops can save you money and develop your personal style, while many give back to global charities or the local community! Of course that is blatantly obvious, but the ingenious ways to find the perfect clothes for you in the racks of gaudy garments aren’t!

1. Don't be fooled by the size number! In shops like these there are many clothes from many different brands which have different sizing scales, along with the fact some clothes may have been stretched! When searching for the best fit always try it on!

2.  Quality check with this BEDAMN acronym!

Brand - This should not be relevant, but for those of you who find branding important you can check if the brand is reputable or on trend.

Environment - Will this be suitable for the season you're in (regarding thickness/type)? Will I get bad tan lines?

Damage - Are there holes/unintentional rips? Do the buttons/zippers/ clasps work? Is there any stitching loose?

Age - This can be an amazing advantage as vintage clothes are awesome, but if it is too old/ out of style then the chance of you really wearing it is unlikely!

Material - Is the material going to itch or look good with your skin tone? The clothing needs to be able to go with other items in your closet!

Need - Do you really need/want it?
