How to dress like a Royal: Evening wear

61 kuukautta sitten

Today we're addressing the second and final part of the "How to dress like a Royal" series and this time we're focusing on evening wear.

Like the previous post, these outfits are both inspired by me and by a few royals.

In the first outfit, we have a beautiful sea-colored green-blue dress, and since it has gold details, I put jewelry set in gold with it. We have a tiny tiara - Which I don't wear often as it is so tiny and hides in my doll's blond hair LOL- a diamond choker set in gold (you can't see it, but it is really in gold if you look closely) which is important in this outfit, since we have a fur stole. As it is wrapped around the shoulders, we don't have much space for the necklace, and having a pendant necklace with this outfit would be wrong and pointless. It would remain covered by the fur, so I went for this choker, which looks really great, despite the fact that Queen Elizabeth II rarely wears them. And in case you haven't guessed, this outfit is inspired by her glamorous '50s and '60s evening wear. I love that she used to go to Opera or state visits and dinners fully bejeweled. To me, an outfit is never complete without all the necessary acessories, so I made sure to include earrings and a bracelet and a purse. Queen Elizabeth always carries one, even with evening outfits. They usually match the fur wrap or the dress. The only things I didn't put was a brooch because I don't have a brooch set in gold with diamonds (I wish!), and a sash, because I only have one.

Then for the outfit on the right, I chose this vibrant pink floral dress, something I totally see Queen Máxima wearing. She loves vibrant colors together, and one-shoulder gowns. I've put sapphire jewelry to go with it, since they match the flowers on the gown. The shoes match with the flowers as well, and I added a clutch, which is preferred by most royals for a state dinner to carry small things. On this outfit, I placed my favorite tiara (Meghan's), because it goes with anything. I also put the royal condecoration/insignia because it is mandatory to wear at state dinners, since they are the most formal occasion a royal attends. It is advised to pick a dress that goes with it, as we don't get to choose one that goes with the dress we want (lol!)

The sashes have various colors and widths. Generally the onesf for women are thinner but that isn't always the case. Queen Letizia owns the sash of the Order of Libertador General San Martin, which is thicker than the usual, and those are generally awarded to men to wear. Each country has a different order and color and depending on your service to said country (which included state visits) you can be awarded one, and from that one, several ranks exist. And all that has to match or at least look nice with the gown or you risk making a fool of yourself.

Now, before we end, I have a question. Would you be interested in a store or collection (maybe in Royalty store?) inspired by royalty with clothes and jewels worn by real Princesses and Queens for you to buy and wear? If yes, all you have to do is go to Royalty Club if you are a Royalty member,  and go to my topic "Royal Clothes Suggestions" topic and suggest the clothes and jewels you want to see! it can either be a specific gown, or a jewel or several outfits. You decide! (In case you aren't a Royalty member you can say your suggestions here in the comments.) If you feel you don't have any request but would love other people's picks, all you have to do is say you agree with me or whoever mentioned the clothes you liked in that topic thread. The more people who comment, the more chances we have of Stardoll designing them for us! This is literally my biggest dream on Stardoll, to have clothes and jewels worn by my favorite royals. I love a lot of Kate's outfits, Queen Elizabeth II's jewels, Queen Máxima's and Queen Letizia's outfits and jewels as well... I would love to have those for my doll! And if you care and want to help me by simply participating in the topic, I'd be most grateful to you, forever! Thank you everyone! ♥
