My Comic-con Experience
Hello Everyone!
A while back it was Callie Con and only just yesterday was OzComicon2018. For those who don't know, Comic-con stands for comic convention and is for pop culture and comic enthusiasts. It's a great time to dress up (cosplay), get some great pop culture-themed items and meet other people who are also passionate about the same things as you in the pop-culture world.
On the day of, I woke up and straight away worked on my cosplay which was a Coraline doll from the Henry Selick movie Coraline. I then caught a train to the convention center. On the train, I did get a few strange looks but also made a few people smile. It was so much fun to walk around in my cosplay and see people's reactions.
When I got to the convention center I went straight to get my photo taken with Cary Elwes! You may know if from the Princess Bride or Ella Enchanted, but most importantly he's going to be in the next season of Stranger Things! I got my photo taken with and could not resist the temptation of asking him if Millie Bobby Brown (the actress who plays Eleven) is a brat He said that she's very kind, she hates bullies and has a sweet heart.
After getting my photo, I then got some merchandise (some Pop Vinyls and gifts for my friends) and then went to go play Overwatch! Overwatch is a first-person player shooting game, and not to brag but I am pretty good at and ended up being on the winning team twice.
I had so much fun at Comic-con and would recommend anyone to go if they ever get the opportunity. It was a great day and I can't wait for next year!
What're your comic-con experiences like?
