Midsummer Flower Crown

hace 79 meses

Stardoll gave us this breathtaking flower crown to celebrate Midsummer and I couldn't be happier, It's very pretty and very well designed, well done, Stardoll!

Midsummer is an important festivity in Sweden that occurs upon the Summer Solstice period, going from 19th of June to the 25th. Midsummer is also a European-wide festival, but it goes by different names and traditions, although they are all celebrated around the said date above.

This crown displays typical flowers, but I gather we can use any flowers we like. At first glance we can spot Daisies (Bellis Annua), Globe Amaranth (Gomphrena Globosa), and two types of fern. I don't know their scientific names, but we can see the common fern there, which is often used by florists. The other leaves are unfortunately too vague and small to identify, unless Stardoll is kind enough to give us more information. Anyway, then we have the smaller flowers such as Buttercup (Ranunculus), then we have Bluebells, which I believe to be Campanula Rotundifolia (?) I really don't know, most bell flowers are so similar in shape and color. We can see another lilac flower that seems to be a wild Generanium (Geranium Maculatum) Then another unidentified flower and Baby's Breath (Gypsophyla). I couldn't be precise today because it's hard to identify such small flowers, also I'm not very deep on Swedish culture, but I still wanted to share my thoughts and explain the crown as much as I could. I'm very happy with it. It's one of the best presents I've got from Stardoll! Show me how you style yours!
