Hello, dolls!

If you are a beauty-addict such as myself, I believe it's safe to assume that you have heard of, seen, or perhaps bought some of the brand new Fenty Beauty, the new makeup line by none other than the queen, Rihanna. 

This collection includes a huge range of foundations, a primer, multi-purpose match sticks, an amazing universal lip gloss, a myriad of brushes, a power-packed highlight and more - all cruelty-free. 

However, I believe Fenty Beauty holds so much more importance than amazing formulas plugged by a celebrity. The makeup and beauty industry is notorious for its exclusivity, meaning men and women with very light or very dark skin tones struggle to find their shade. Everyone deserves to feel amazing - and Fenty Beauty plays such a significant role in making the beauty industry more inclusive. With 40 shades of foundation on offer- yes, 40 - Rihanna is using her platform to send a powerful message. It's a message of inclusivity and empowerment - that the beauty industry is for everyone, not just those between the shades of Ivory and Warm Honey.

As a white female, I know that when I approach a makeup counter it's more than likely I will find shades for my foundation, contour and more. This basic assumption isn't something everyone can rely on - and the fact men and women with 'hard to match skin' often end up paying so much more to find their perfect foundation or have to search high and low is truly disappointing of an industry which encourages everyone to look and feel their best.

This is where Fenty Beauty is truly beautiful.  

Having someone with as much 'celebrity' as Rihanna providing (relatively) affordable, shade-inclusive, and cruelty-free makeup is empowering, and I can't wait to see where she takes Fenty Beauty next.
