3 Ways To Wear... Tailoring
With the start of MSW this week, we can expect to see a lot of glamour and gowns in the weeks to come. Of course, you don’t need to wear a gown and look like a princess, so I am going to show you some tailored looks that still achieve the glam look!
Starting off with a classic look, featuring this shimmery blazer. With the blazer being the showpiece of the look, I kept the rest simple, with matching grey pants, minimal heels, and white shirt. For an ultra-glam look, try sequin pants, or a sequin top. With my second look, I chose this amazing oversized blazer. Instead of going for the classic look again, I paired it with a silver mini dress, choker and mini bag for a contrast between the masculine and feminine pieces.
The next two looks focus on the pants. I had to choose these super cool Gucci sequin pants from LE. Originally styled with a matching blazer, I thought it was too much for me, so I kept it classic with a white shirt and simple blazer. I think a little halter top would work just as well. The second look was inspired by nightwear, with the silk lace cami and pants, and accessorized with a choker and delicate necklace. For both of these looks I would totally try some crisp white sneakers for a 00s Missy Elliot or Ciara vibe!
Finally, my last two looks take a completely different inspiration - the 70s. It was hard to leave out such a glam, Studio 54 style. To achieve this look, style a boxy blazer (this gold one is perfect) with some flares (velvet would be a cool texture contrast), platforms, and a statement collar shirt. Accessorize with doorknocker earrings and a minimal necklace (or choker).
