Writer's Block

hace 112 meses

Hi dolls,

As a blogger, I sometimes go through stages where I can't think of what to write or how to proceed with writing. All writers struggle with the challenge of writer's block. It can be very frustrating when your creative mind turns to mush, when you can't find the right words. Causes of it are fear of critique on ideas, perfectionism, or it just not being the right time.

There's no real solution to writer's block, as writing is an art, not a science. A few tips that have helped me get going again are to:

-Write in the morning as your mind is still in the pattern it was in while you were dreaming

-Do some physical exercise to help your mental activity

-Read books for inspiration

-Listen to music

-Try to brainstorm ideas

-Don't refuse to write until you feel "inspired"

Simply, you overcome writer's block by writing. Write anything, the first thing that pops into your head, no matter how bizarre it may be. You can write pages and pages of memories or even how annoying writer's block is! Remember for free writing, you don't have to start at the beginning, start anywhere that you have ideas for and the story will piece itself together.

Alright dolls, see you soon!
