Zamio's Story: The little cat - Part 3
She was very thin and full of worms and I spent hours combing through her fur to get all the lice out. She purred almost constantly and spent many hours curled up on my lap or shoulder. After a week in the house, when she was used to being handled, we took her to the vet to be checked out and have shots. The vet said that the kitten was in good health, apart from the worms and lice, but was very small and would probably never grow to be a large cat.
That was eight years ago. Our kitten is still a little cat, black with a white “star” at her neck, with big yellow-green eyes. She still purrs very loudly. She hunts (and brings us our share) and sits by us on the sofa and even cleans my ears on occasion. She is wonderful and beautiful and our lives are richer for her presence.Because of Zamio, the little kitten didn't die in the cold or had to live it's life struggeling to find food. Now it got a wonderful life where she is loved and got a warm place to sleep. And it wasn't that hard. It didn't take Zamio alot of effort to make a shelter and leave some cat food for it. The little cat was saved.
Take responsibility for your animals
Please everyone take action at these times where alot of kittens are getting dumped. I also would suggest to all cat owners to get your cat spayed to avoid kittens being born in the wild.
Thank you Zamio for sharing your story with us. I appreciate it alot! You are a true inspiration.
