Summer At Home? Ideas
Welcome back!
In the UK and other countries, the busy academic year has just come to a finish, introducing several weeks of rest and relaxation. Your social media feed will start to fill up with pictures of your friends on holiday, which can be slightly irritating, if you’re at home all summer for whatever reason. But summer at home doesn’t need to be boring or tiring - there’s always lots you can do!
-Learn a new alphabet.
Sometimes it can be hard to begin learning a new language all together, especially for those who get easily tired out by grammar and spelling. Learning a new alphabet could be more fun - and if you do it with your friends, secret messages will be otherwise illegible!
-Make a scrapbook.
This summer I’m definitely committing myself to printing out pictures that I find memorable and compiling them together. It’s definitely a nice reminder of better times for when you’re feeling down.
-Explore your locality.
Sometimes people become so caught up in the idea of traveling far away that they forget how much fun they can have in the place they live! Going to new libraries, restaurants and shopping centers near to you can be just as exciting.
-Start blogging!
Out of a mixture of boredom, interest and curiosity, I started publishing blog entries last year, and I can say I’m very happy I did, as it’s now one of my favorite hobbies.
What do you do when spending summer at home?
Have a wonderful summer everyone,
~Jaya x
