Can you Haiku?

A haiku is a type of poem that originates from traditional Japanese culture. This type of poem is really fun and easy to write- you just have to remember one rule!

Little sleeping fox
Dreaming of a fairy glen
Lying silently

How to write a haiku:

To write a haiku, all you have to do is write three lines where the first line has 5 syllables, the second line has 7 syllables, and the third line has 5 syllables (a syllable is part of a spoken word- for example, "horse" has one syllable, while "pony" has two! Try saying the words out loud to figure it out). It doesn't have to rhyme, but it can if you want it to!

Example:

Fashion, fun and friends
Good times here just never end

Try writing your own haiku! If you think of a really good one, post it in the comments.
