Lyrical Makeup: The Civil Wars
Hey dolls! Beatrix here.
My latest song obsession has been Falling by The Civil Wars. It's a little more sad and serious compared to the rest of the songs on Lyrical Makeup; but I really felt inspired by it!
This song is a sad and meaningful piece that depicts the narrator falling out of love with her partner.
The Civil Wars are my favorite musical artists, but unfortunately they split up earlier this year.
"Tell me it's nothing,
try to convince me
that I'm not drowning.
Oh, let me tell you I am.
Please, please tell me you know,
I've got to let you go.
I can't help falling out of love with you."
This makeup look will be very simple, but sad.
First, I attempted to give my doll a sad facial structure by using the tearful eyes and trying to find eyebrows to match.
Next, I kept the eyes simple by using grey eyeshadow and a brown eyepencil. I applied volume mascara to the corners of the eyes.
Now, in my opinion, this next part is the most important. Unless you're wearing waterproof eyemakeup - when you cry, your makeup runs. So for that effect, take a shadestick (I used Bronze from Transform for 24 SD) and lightly shade around the tears.
Next contour your cheeks lightly with bronze, and add a strong, rosy highlight.
For the lips, I applied a very small amount of Exotic Peach from Transform (24 SD).Alright dolls, have a great week and leave me some song suggestions!
