Makeup Mishaps // Collab with S8n

90 måneder siden

Hello, dolls!

Yikes. In the above photo, you can see my doll's contouring is a little off - unblended, placed incorrectly, and completely the wrong shade. In learning about and how to do makeup, we all have made mistakes. After all, makeup is a hard art to master, and with the thousands of products, brands and techniques, there is always something new to learn.

Today, along with fellow blogger S8n, I bring you stories of makeup mishaps.

S8n's Ghostly Horror Story -
When I first started out my drag journey, I decided to try it out at a family member's wedding, for the shocks since I barely wore makeup. I put pale white foundation on my face, not knowing my true skin tone. That resulted in me having a white face, which in turn made me look like a villain from a low-budget movie. When I entered the wedding, everyone gasped and a couple of children started to cry, but I don't blame them. I'm actually proud, because sometimes I put on a white face with my sharp talon gauntlets, doc martens and cloak, when I feel like going out to enjoy my day.

My Unblended Catastrophe -
When I was young and had no idea about makeup, I had a spot on my chin. Anxious to cover it up, I found whatever concealer I could in my mum's drawer and covered it up. I barely blended, and my chin was a patchy, barely-covered mess for the whole day. I remember there was some pointing, unfortunately.
