Trying Something New

116个月之前

Hey dollies,

In a matter of day I’ll be graduating high school, I’m both joyous and scared. I have longed for the day I’d never have to see school but the current question nagging in my head is "what now?"

With the waiting period between now and September I have a lot of free time on my hands to try out a lot of stuff, as do you when it's summer. While waiting on the vacation and the ending of my high school life, my friends and I had so many plans for what we would do during the waiting period - but so far we haven’t even started on them yet.

I tried new stuff by myself at home with my family, I tried to learn and knit, I am learning to drive, attempting to play tennis and trying to cook. I’m so not good at any of these things, but it’s fun learning despite the mishaps I’ve had: I tangled up thread, nearly ran into a tree, missed the ball numerous times and burnt quite a few stuff. Yet, I had fun, and laughed a lot with the people around me. It was amazing.

I wanted to encourage you guys to try something new too, it could be big or small, it doesn’t matter. It’s scary at first, you wouldn’t be good but over time you will become a pro at whatever you tried, all it takes is you saying you want to try something and be willing to learn, that’s all the trainers expect of you.

Trust me, trying something new is fun, you wouldn’t regret it... I sure didn’t. And that's a lot coming from a girl who doesn't like much change and is hopeless around strangers.

It gets better, hope you enjoy your summer.
